Honoring the Body God Gave You
One thing God has been reminding me of is this: our bodies are not accidents they’re assignments. He trusted us with them. He placed purpose inside of them. And because of that, taking care of our bodies isn’t about looks… it’s about stewardship.
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 tells us our bodies are temples. That means how we treat them matters. What we eat matters. How we move matters. Rest matters. Boundaries matter. Healing matters. It’s all connected.
For years I ignored my body because life was life’ing motherhood, stress, survival mode, heartbreak, everything. But the more I grow spiritually, the more I understand this:
You can’t pour from a body you refuse to honor.
Honoring your body means partnering with God.
It’s saying, “Lord, thank You for this vessel. Help me take care of it.”
It doesn’t require perfection. Just intention.
Small things count: drinking water, moving your body, choosing better foods, speaking life over yourself, praying over your health, getting rest, and letting go of habits or people that drain you. Those choices may seem simple, but they build discipline — and discipline builds strength.
When you take care of your body, everything shifts. Your energy shifts. Your mindset shifts. Your confidence shifts. And most importantly, your ability to show up for your purpose shifts.
Sis, this body is yours to steward.
Not from a place of pressure but from a place of gratitude.
God gave you one temple.
Honor it. Nourish it. Strengthen it.
Because when your body is aligned, your purpose flows differently.
